Epic is committed to preserving the privacy of its users. This policy outlines the handling of users’ personal information that is submitted at any point on Epic sites, mobile apps, and/or in the use of its services. The information is used only in the ways specified when it was collected. The information is not shared in any shape or manner otherwise.
If you provide us your email address to be added to our list, we will not share it with anyone outside of Epic. We use email addresses only to send updates on our latest stories or news about Epic, features, and stories that we think our readers might be interested in.
Our newsletter registration system requires a valid email address, used to confirm the subscription. If the user changes the information on his or her subscription, Epic’s stored data backups may include the user’s original information. Separately, when any Epic administrators are emailed, the addresses and correspondence are retained. This information is saved to respond to issues and inquiries of all types.
The Epic web sites, mobile apps and/or other services, may collect certain non-personally identifiable information, such as how you read and which multimedia components you take advantage of. This data is stored securely on our servers and is used to enable us to understand broad trends in how people are reading and utilizing our content, in order to better serve our readers.
Aggregated reading and demographic information about our audience may be shared with third parties, including browser information and traffic statistics. This data is not tied to any individual readers’ accounts or personally identifiable information.
We believe in freedom of expression, and, to the extent reasonable, we will try to protect our community from baseless legal demands.
If you have any questions or issues around any of these matters, email us: email@example.com.
